Responsible

Responsible.

I've always been described as such by teachers, friends, bosses, etc. It felt good to be thought of that way. I have avoided a lot of unnecessary trouble in life because of that trait. However, it can be such a burden too, especially when you're one of the very few among a number of foolish and irresponsible individuals. I sometimes wish I could just be carefree like everyone else and not worry about other people's feelings and circumstance or the future. Maybe I will be happier.

I always knew being responsible was not easy, I just didn't realize until now how it can be so incredibly lonely, too.

Maybe you just need to loosen up a bit when with a group of irresponsible people. I don't know, just a thought.

I consider myself a bit laid back, really. But if I end up doing everything all the time because I'm the responsible one, then I start to become tired and resentful sometimes. It's not fair.

how about trying to shape your mind that being a responsible person, you can respect other people's rights and do justice to yourself? and by that, you can maintain clear mind and heart that is away from potential regrets in the future. After all, being responsible is always an honorable trait :)

Just think of how you'd feel if you stop being you :)

Not sure why you feel loneliness or maybe I am defining loneliness in another way. Alone maybe.

Anyways - I was here about a couple of days ago but I don't think my comment took so from memory I'm reposting.

You have a very nice blog.

Hey there! Nice blog.

I sense that being responsible for a group has its ups and downs, but don't fret since for every successes you achieve out of that, you'll learn to appreciate what you can do for your group.

P.S. Cute dog. ;p

Ciao!

Dimaks - you're right, at least I know I did my best in most things. No regrets.

Mon - thanks for dropping by, and for the encouragement, as well.

Michi - true, doing the right thing is never a waste. I believe we all reap what we sow eventually, whether good or bad. Oh, and Katy's adorable, isn't she? Heheh... I have a bad case of puppy love!

it really becomes frustrating at times when it is your nature to be responsible and you see others not doing their part responsibly. in some situations, responsible people do get affected and the adverse effect is that they also tend to be irresponsible thinking it's not fair or their interest wanes and eventually becomes 'one of the guys'.

kudos to you for maintaining the attitude. you're doing the right thing. i dont blame you for being affected but stay as you are.
