One To Call Our Own

We have decided to bite the bullet and find a home of our own. After years of waiting, it's finally a buyer's market and we're jumping into the fray. It will be a tedious and tough month, but totally worth it -- or so I'm told.

Here's to a couple of years of eating only Ramen, wearing old and worn-out clothes, and staying at home during long weekends, holidays and vacations.

To our dear family and friends, we're afraid that you won't get your usual gifts this year and next. Oh, and if you still do think of giving us a gift for our birthdays and Christmas, please consider a Home Depot or Lowe's gift card. :)

We covet your prayers!

Ruth & Junnie - I'll email you the photos of the house that we want. We're just waiting for the financing to do P & S and then close. Exciting!

Tigerlilly - Hay naku, kelan ba kayo bibisita, ha!?!?

Dexiejane - We actually found it na! We're just waiting to close. I'm on pins and needles! Can't wait!

After the close comes the designing/decorating - the part I enjoy most. Good luck on your new acquisition! Hope everything flows smoothly.

Hey D - We are enjoying the journey. So far, we've been spared the usual trials that househunters go through. Thanks!

Linnor - Yes, the designing and decorating is the most thrilling part for me, as well. The thing is, there's not a lot funds left just after the purchase! Slowly but surely, I guess, huh? :)

Wish I could do the designing and decorating at present! Kaso, we are still working on building our house. I did a part of the design (esp in the kitchen), but with our limited budget, I can't really do what I would like to do. Maybe much later, when the house is all finished and we would have only the decors and furnitures to think of. If ur interested in my houseblog, it is in http://loryscastle2.blogspot.com. Maybe you have some interesting ideas to share before we even proceed (it has and still is a long journey for us).

Manang - I wish I could build my dream house like you're doing! :) I went to your site, it is very nice! Don't worry about not being able to do everything you want right now, there's always the option to update in the future. I wish you all the best!
